Software Engineer Job Description

  • Participate in the entire software development life-cycle: propose, design, develop, test, maintain
  • Propose: Assist in the project bidding and proposal pre-sales process for new projects
  • Design: Design software solutions, including story boarding and specifications
  • Develop: Program software using the appropriate languages for the job
  • Test: Functional and unit-based testing. Interaction with quality assurance team members
  • Maintain: Interact with clients to support the software when tier 1 is unable to handle issues. Track bugs using a bug tracker. Build tracking
  • Work on software projects for very prominent clients
  • Develop software for multiple platforms: Windows, Mobile, Mac and Linux
  • Manage features and bugs using bug tracking system and source control
  • Self-manage and maintain proper list of priorities
  • Able to communicate directly with customers and upper level management
  • Willing and active participation in team meetings
  • Occasional travel to customer locations for project deployments

Software Engineer Requirements/Skills    

  • Experience with C# and the .NET Framework is a requirement
  • Experience with modern web technologies is a requirement (HTML5, jQuery, JSON, KnockoutJS, etc.)
  • Experience with C/C++ nice but not necessary
  • Experience with software development under Windows 7/Windows 2008 Server
  • Experience with software development under Linux, or a willingness to learn the environment a major plus
  • Experience with mobile development (iOS/Android specifically) is a major plus but not a requirement
  • Comfortable writing SQL queries from scratch (SQL Server 2008, SQLite)
  • Comfortable on the command line (Bash or DOS)
  • Able to self-manage and be a “one man army”
  • Experience with audio/visual systems a major plus
  • Must be excited to learn new technologies and build software that blows minds!

Project Coordinator Job Description

  1. Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks.
  2. Participation in Team Meetings.
  3. Coordinate meetings, including travel arrangements and expense reports.
  4. Maintain Project Managers calendars.
  5. Prepare and/or edit meeting minutes, presentations and tables.
  6. Ensure adherence to deadlines.
  7. File all project documents (hard and soft copies).
  8. Ensure coordination of the interfaces of all disciplines within the company.
  9. Constant communication at both the contractor level as well as client management level (Follow Up).
  10. Responsible to track project changes and produce updated schedule as agreed with engineering and project management.
  11. Compile summary documents.
  12. Collect and include contributions of the Team.
  13. Responsible to take input from the project engineers to develop and maintain the detailed schedule.

Requirements/Skills

  3. Strong communication skills (extrovert). To include both grammar for emails as well as verbal for over the phone conversations as well as face to face communications.
  4. Must be very organized.
